The watch and phone apps are standalone - you only need one 🙂

well i removed it off my watch as the overlay wont work but the app on phone still cant connect to my watch

Yeah that’s what I wrote these apps are standalone - you can not connect them - and you don’t need it. Just use hyperate on your watch - start a session.and use the given link in OBS.
