I'm trying to connect my Fitbit air but im having issues I went into Google Health > Share Heart Rate > Always visible. That allowed the Fitbit air to appear in HypeRate, and it shows it's connected and the session is active, but I'm not seeing any heart rate appear?

Hi! Thanks for the details. “Connected” in the HypeRate Android app doesn’t yet confirm that heart rate data is coming through. Could you try our WebBluetooth page on a computer with Google Chrome? Disconnect the Fitbit Air from the HypeRate Android app, then open https://webbluetooth.hyperate.io. In Google Health, go to Connections → Fitbit Air → Share heart rate → Get started, and click Connect Device on the web page. Please keep the Fitbit Air on your wrist and the browser tab open. Do you see a BPM value on the page? If it connects but still shows no heart rate, let us know your computer’s operating system and Chrome version, and send a screenshot of the page. That will help us narrow down where the connection stops.

It worked. The first time it connected but nothing was showing then it disconnected. Second time this popped up on the Google Health app and when I hit share it started working.

Awesome, thanks for testing this! ❤️ That’s really good news it confirms that the Fitbit Air works with HypeRate via standard Bluetooth heart rate sharing. It looks like the important step is approving the “Share heart rate” request in Google Health after connecting. If you have a moment, could you try the HypeRate Android app again as well? Now that we know about this extra sharing confirmation, I’d love to see if it starts sending BPM there too. Thanks again for helping us test this! 🙌

Interesting, thanks! Could you check one thing for me when it disconnects again? Please open Google Health → Share Heart Rate and check whether your Fitbit Air still shows that it is sharing with MARK-DESKTOP, or if the sharing session has stopped there as well. Also, if possible, let me know roughly how long it stays connected before disconnecting. That would help us figure out whether the Fitbit Air is stopping the heart rate sharing or if the Bluetooth connection itself is dropping. 🙂
