When you based in the EU you can not longer install any 3rd Party software. Decided by Google. You can try to use a VPN to install apps.

I'm confused. I'm in the U.S, do you mean I can't install the hyperate app on my watch unless I have a VPN? It will be available?
Community Member•4/2/2025, 8:16:57 PM
When you are in the US it should work normally. If you can not download the app, maybe it’s another problem, but I’m not sure what this could be, maybe update your Fitbit first?

The fitbit app did need an update after I installed it but that didn't fix it. I will try uninstalling and reinstalling the app along with restarting my phone
Community Member•4/2/2025, 8:57:09 PM
Yeah, it's still not working for me. I'm not really sure how to fix this
Community Member•4/2/2025, 8:57:31 PM
Unsure if others had issues
Community Member•4/2/2025, 8:58:16 PM
Your watch itself needs an update?
Community Member•4/2/2025, 9:24:29 PM
I'm unsure how to check if it needs an update. I think just by turning the watch on it would say it needs an update but nothing pops up
Community Member•4/2/2025, 9:25:19 PM
Are there any settings within the. Watch where you can see what version you are running atm?
Community Member•4/2/2025, 9:26:12 PM
Yes, it's in the about section in the watch and it also tells me in the fitbit app
Community Member•4/2/2025, 9:44:37 PM
It looks like the watch DOES need an update, I'm just not seeing it yet? I will have to wait I suppose
Community Member•4/2/2025, 9:46:04 PM
Did you google about how to update the watch, maybe this will help
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:33:52 PM
Yep, looks like I had to factory reset the watch
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:35:10 PM
Not sure why you need a factory reset.
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:35:11 PM
It's installed now but it's saying --
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:35:46 PM
I wasn't sure either but that's what I read online
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:36:53 PM
This normally means HypeRate has no access to the heart sensor of the watch
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:37:27 PM
You can give this access on your fit bit app on the phone i guess
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:39:21 PM
Yes, the wifi was already setup beforehand I guess I had to go to it again
Community Member•4/2/2025, 10:39:31 PM
It's working now
