I've recently upgraded my Apple Watch as my old Series 8 was no longer supported. However, on my new watch, while the app is installed and runs, it's not picking up my heart rate at all. Not sure if this is due to the change in how the HR monitor works on the Series 12 (as they have a whole new sensor array that allows for continual HR monitoring), or a change in HR API in watchOS 27?

Hi! The Apple Watch Series 8 is still supported, so upgrading the watch shouldn’t have been necessary for HypeRate. If the app is running on your new watch but doesn’t receive any heart rate data, the first thing I’d check is the Health permissions. It’s possible that HypeRate doesn’t currently have permission to access heart rate data on the new watch. On your iPhone, please check the Apple Health / Health permissions for HypeRate and make sure access to Heart Rate is enabled. If that’s already enabled and you’re still seeing “– BPM”, let me know and we’ll investigate whether something has changed with the new Series 12 or watchOS 27.

You're right, it was me <:huds601Facepalm:964647655143776287> I reinstalled the app and it reset the permissions to not give it access. Thanks for the help! As an aside, might be useful to add in a prompt on the watchOS app where, if it can't pull the heart rate, to check the Health app first to save you time dealing with numpties like me <:huds601Facepalm:964647655143776287>
