I have a series 9 apple watch and it seems like everything is setup correctly, but the heartrate only updates when I am actively looking at my watch. As soo as I go back to playing the game (I am playing VR), it stays on whatever my heartrate was until I bring my watch up again to check it. I double checked to make sure background app refresh is on.
I’ve heard this from VR players quite a lot, especially when the watch isn’t worn tightly enough. With all the heavy arm movement, the sensor can lose contact with the skin. Maybe that’s what’s causing the problem.

flipped the watch to the underside of the wrist and tightened it, works WAY better now! thanks for the help
