My Apple Watch and iPhone both have the app and it displays my heart rate on my watch like normal. Every time I try to pair the Bluetooth device it doesn’t show up on my phone app. What steps should I take to troubleshoot?

As far as i know, if you use an Apple Watch you do not need the iphone App. The iphone App is for all the other Hardware. like Chestbelts and so.
