Are there like guides on how to use the Windows app? Turning on the app only the heart comes onto screen and underneath says to put an ID but i thought the app didn't need any kind of account? But also, where do you even get the ID since the main site talks nothing about it? And about which heart rate monitors work, shouldn't just any work that supports Bluetooth?

Are you using the current version of the HypeRate Desktop App? https://desktop.hyperate.io You can find the list of currently supported devices here: https://hyperate.io/supported-devices.html You don’t need a HypeRate account to use the Desktop App. You do, however, need a heart rate device connected to it. Once connected, the HypeRate app provides you with a HypeRate ID, which you can then use anywhere to connect to your live heart rate. Regarding Bluetooth devices: not every Bluetooth heart rate device necessarily works automatically, which is why we maintain the supported devices list above.

Ohh no, i've googled and it said to get it from the Kofe
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:18:48 AM

Community Member9/5/2026, 10:18:50 AM
Is that fake or?
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:19:03 AM
Ah I see - that’s a really really old version 🙂
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:19:49 AM
Ohh gotcha, the website is not updated for the desktop version so didn't even know the site above exists
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:21:03 AM
You should find the link on the HypeRate webpage…. https://hyperate.io/downloads.html
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:22:00 AM
Ohhh its hidden in the download section
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:22:54 AM
Fair - we will add this here also 🙂 thanks for the hint!
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:24:27 AM
another thing
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:24:44 AM
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:24:49 AM
its just opening the main site
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:25:11 AM
is it supposed to open https://webbluetooth.hyperate.io/ ?
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:25:53 AM
Nope - cause it depends on the device you are using.
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:26:18 AM
So how do you find your ID?
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:26:48 AM
I’m using an Apple Watch for example. Open the HypeRate app and there I can see my ID.
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:27:16 AM
Ohh so the Desktop app don't do ID's?
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:27:59 AM
It depends on your devices what you are connecting to. Can you tell me what devices you have!
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:28:23 AM
CYCPLUS H2 PRO
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:28:31 AM
its connected right now to the app
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:28:40 AM
Is this a chestbelt?
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:28:44 AM
yes
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:29:16 AM
atm its just
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:29:21 AM
Ok when it’s directly connected with the HypeRate desktop app already then you can see your heartrate on the desktop, correct.
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:29:52 AM
Yup, seems to show if i click Show Overlay
Community Member9/5/2026, 10:33:00 AM
Do i still need to connect to an ID or?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:11:30 AM
It depends on what you want to achieve. If you want to use your heart rate in different scenarios, for example with Streamer.bot, our widget designer, or directly in OBS, you first need to connect your heart rate monitor through Web Bluetooth (or one of our apps). Once connected, you’ll get a HypeRate ID. You can then use that ID in the different integrations to connect them to your live heart rate. You can use Web Bluetooth here: https://webbluetooth.hyperate.io/
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:13:49 AM
I dont see Web Bluetooth on the Desktop app, its not yet available there?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:17:49 AM
going trough the web browser of the desktop app to the web bluetooth section
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:18:02 AM
and when you try to connect it says
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:19:17 AM
You have to open it in a chrome browser: https://webbluetooth.hyperate.io/ then search for your chestbelt, connect it, then you should see an ID.
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:19:26 AM
Ohh it works trough the app too
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:19:31 AM
but yeah uhh buggy
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:20:06 AM
so that means the Desktop app is not even needed?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:20:19 AM
it still depends on what you want to achieve!
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:20:56 AM
Ahh i see so the Destop app is limited to like an overlay on screen with minimal adjustments
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:21:06 AM
while the web applet is if you wanna do more stuff with it?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:21:36 AM
Ahh gotcha gotcha! I thought the desktop app functioned like a app for all of that
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:21:43 AM
but you also can use the webbluetooth and use the give ID within the Desktop App 😉
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:21:43 AM
maybe in the future?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:22:11 AM
But doesn't the webbluetooth on Chrome not support stuff like reconnect if out of range? 🤔
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:22:52 AM
The Desktop App can be used on two ways Standalone (you just connect your Chestbelt directly) or you can use it with the ID.
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:23:20 AM
yes and no - its not really reliable (technically)
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:23:38 AM
Ahh gotcha
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:24:11 AM
Yeah im not really sure which way is better, im guessing trough Chrome but you need to have it nonstop running in the background 😅
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:24:25 AM
the Desktop app is nice since its running in background
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:24:38 AM
do you have a smartphone?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:24:54 AM
Yes but Android and i've read the Android app is discontinued 💔
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:25:44 AM
hä? no its brand new and available on Google Playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brainbuxx.hyperate&hl=de_AT
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:25:57 AM
Ohhhh!
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:26:08 AM
The main site is not updated with it 😅
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:26:28 AM
OH WOW
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:26:30 AM
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:27:03 AM
Also the Android Watch is hyperlinking to the company apps not the app itself
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:27:06 AM
i see we have deleted the new link with the last update
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:28:00 AM
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brainbuxx.hyperate
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:31:00 AM
Some bugs if its fine to report
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:31:12 AM
The android app is not turning on the Bluetooth automatically
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:31:18 AM
or trying to turn it on
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:31:22 AM
but its trying to scan for one
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:35:20 AM
but yeah, thanks a lot!
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:35:48 AM
I'll be checking it a bit more and give some feedback trough the feedback form!
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:36:21 AM
thx a lot you already helped a lot with the webpage - working on it atm to fix this mess 😉
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:39:05 AM
Ohhh and also im not sure if you wanna add the CYCPLUS H2 PRO as a working device or not
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:40:14 AM
im guessing any BLE device is supported?
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:40:27 AM
Dunno about ANT+ (?)
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:41:19 AM
as far as we know these are the supported devices: https://hyperate.io/supported-devices.html
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:42:09 AM
Yup, can say the CYCPLUS H2 PRO works too since its running fine for an hour now
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:42:18 AM
its not on the list
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:42:36 AM
perfect so i can add it 😉
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:43:36 AM
Apps are seeing it as CYCPLUS H2 3635 but im pretty sure that's just the same thing
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:44:04 AM
is this the correct one? https://www.amazon.de/CYCPLUS-H2Pro-Herzfrequenz-Brustgurt-Bluetooth-IPX7/dp/B0DLNMMY9M/ref=asc_df_B0DLNMMY9M?mcid=84075bc4c9753a829daf9121285372ef&language=de_DE&tag=detxtgostdde-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=718115905865&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=623790692509092763&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9231161&hvtargid=pla-2623480247672&psc=1&hvocijid=623790692509092763-B0DLNMMY9M-&hvexpln=0&language=de_DE
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:47:44 AM
Just checked to be sure since i got it from AliExpress
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:47:54 AM
Its actually the H2 version not the Pro one
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:48:46 AM
tho it seems the H2 and Pro are same
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:48:58 AM
yeah it seems so
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:49:01 AM
seems like they just renamed it
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:49:10 AM
The strap looks a bit different but the device itself looks the same
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:49:20 AM
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009045185618.html
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:51:05 AM
maybe the amazon listing of the strap is fake
Community Member9/5/2026, 11:51:48 AM
probably just to show that it has the "bumps" that reads the heart rate
Community Member9/5/2026, 12:02:42 PM
So webpage is updated 😉
Community Member9/5/2026, 12:14:28 PM
Shouldn't the Android Watch link redirect too to the app?
Community Member9/5/2026, 12:15:13 PM
from ```https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Brainbuxx+UG+%28haftungsbeschr%C3%A4nkt%29+%26+Co.+KG&hl=en_US&gl=US``` to ```https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brainbuxx.hyperatewatch&hl=en_US&gl=US```
Community Member9/5/2026, 12:15:47 PM
